Audition music-Deadline August 1

Placement in the appropriate band.
Placement in each section: 1st, 2nd, 3rd…
It will give the directors a better understanding of skills that need to be taught or honed.
It will give the directors the ability to choose the appropriate music for each band.

Decide on a time to practice daily! Be organized. How much time do you have before your audition is due?
Practice with purpose-know your goal for each practice session.
Play through the scales, exercises and solo and find the parts that need the most practice. Work on those first, then play them with the rest of the music.
Practice playing through mistakes-your best take may have a little mistake.
Record yourself and listen back while reading your music to see if there is anything that needs improving.

Prepare a solo to show us your best musical talent. The solo must be at least 16 measures long.
